My journey with Bellin started with my internship for my degree. I was brought on to help develop and support the cardiac fitness program within Bellin Fitness. From there we created a spectacular team to develop our Cancer Fitness Rehab programs. Exercise is, essentially, a miracle drug. The positive effects that exercise has on chemo is extremely evident and documented. These results expand outside of just our cancer and cardiac fitness programs.
If you compare us to commercial fitness facilities, you will notice that you will not develop the same strong relationships you will at Bellin Fitness. Most people that come to us are coming through our Continuum of Care Program. We are the next step in your care program. Our doctors and physicians trust us to build upon the foundation they already laid in regards to your rehabilitation. We are very experienced and educated trainers, which is what sets us apart.
I train everybody from the athlete, to the general population, to people who have gone through joint replacements or cancer. I have seen it all in the past twenty years. I never train someone before I get to know him or her on a personal level so I can start to build that relationship. It is a priority for me to really know my clients in depth before we add in the physical activity component. I think that is why people feel comfortable coming to us – we provide them with that “World class care.”
